This new Toyota Etios Diesel will feature a 1364cc, D-4D Diesel engine which develops a maximum power of about 87 Bhp @ 3800 rpm and a maximum torque of about 205 Nm @ 1800 rpm. This new Toyota Etios Diesel will give a mileage of 14 kmpl at the cities and 20 kmpl at the highways irrespective of 12 and 17 kmpl of it's pertol variant. This new Toyota Etios Diesel, just like it's Petrol variant also comes with a 5-Speed Manual Gear transmissions.

Just like it's Petrol variant, this new Toyota Etios Diesel features a McPherson Strut - Torsion Beam Suspension in it. Also this new Toyota Etios Diesel features a Disk Brake at the front and a Drum Brake at the rear. This new Toyota Etios Diesel variants too are same to that in it's Petrol variant : Etios J, Etios G, Etios V and Etios VX.

JAKARTA- Sebagai penguasa market share, tindak tanduk Toyota dan Honda memang patut dicermati, termasuk cara mereka dalam menyikapi segmen 1.200 cc.

PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) dan PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) selaku agen tunggal pemegang merek (ATPM) mobil Toyota dan Honda di Indonesia memang belum memberikan sinyal jelas. Namun, keduanya mengaku tengah melakukan studi bermain di segmen ini.

Di luar Indonesia, masing-masing prinsipal dari kedua ATPM tersebut ternyata sudah menyiapkan mobil baru dengan kapasitas silinder 1.200 cc.

Contohnya Honda yang baru saja meluncurkan spesies terbaru, Honda BRIO. Mobil ini pertama kali diperkenalkan di Thailand International Motor Expo 2010.

Secara fisik, Brio adalah penerus new small conceptyang tampil di Auto India 2010. Selain dimensi, detail spesifikasi memang belum diumumkan.Namun, penampilan mobil ini sangat menjanjikan.

World's largest Car manufacturer's, Toyota has unveiled the third-generation Vitz hatchback, its top-selling gasoline car in Japan. Government subsidies favouring gasoline-electric and other advanced vehicles is expected to work big time with this new model from Toyota, since the makers are planning to sell a target of 10,000 Vitz cars in Japan for this calendar year itself.

This new hatchback, Toyota Vitz has been competing with segment leader Honda Motor Co's Fit and Nissan Motor Co's March and with the third generation of Vitz, Toyota gets best-in-class mileage of 26.5 km/litre. Its fuel economy, measured under Japanese test methods, beats the March's 26.0 km/litre and the Fit's 24.5 km/l.

It should be noted that the cumulative sales of the Vitz, called the Yaris in some markets, have exceeded 3.5 million units in more than 70 countries since the first-generation version was launched in 1999. This new generation hatchback, Toyota Vitz is expected to get a price tag of around 1.06 million yen ($12,660).

ToyoBaru RWD Sports Car delay until 2012

A smart project of Toyota and Subaru to working together on a rear-wheel-drive sportscar with “wonderful styling” have been replaced by rumours that the car has been put on hold.

The future and superb drift machine, regarded by many as the potential successor to the now legendary AE86, is believe to be based on the current Subaru Legacy platform and powered by a boxer engine putting out around 200hp through a six speed manual transmission.

The original plan is due in 2011,but, according to Nikkei, the car has been delayed to at least 2012 or more. But with things set to get even worse around the globe, 2012 may just come and go without any trace of a Toyobaru RWD sports car.
